The Unity Church held a wonderful event this week. They hosted a cultural pageant by visiting Tibetan monks from a monastery in Southern India, followed by three days of mandala making. I had seen this on television but to see it in person is truly on a whole other level. I was mesmerized by the focus, precision and presence that is required to create this masterpiece, grain by grain.
And then yesterday, it was ritualistically destroyed, swept up and the sand was scattered in the river. The ultimate in letting go.
